Moira Johannessen teaches watercolor painting at the Desert Art Center in Palm Springs. She has helped many students develop their own styles.
The goal of this workshop is to show the student a fun, relaxed way to paint.
Karin Felker Harris is a painter with a BFA from Southern Oregon State University. She has been represented by various galleries in the Western States and, at one time, owned her own gallery in Portland Oregon. She led International Art & Cultural Tours and taught art at the college level and in a variety of other settings. Her passion lies in encouraging and inspiring artists to find their own voice, which “has been the most rewarding joy of my career”.
The goal of this workshop is to explore the intriguing relationship of light and shadow that can entice you to create beyond the ordinary!
Diane Morgan is an award-winning artist working in watercolor and oil.
She is a past president of CVWS, managed the Public Art Program for the City of Palm Spring for eleven years, and now teaches and paints full-time.
The goal of this workshop is to master bold and smooth washes and create realistic waterdrops
Bob Hannah loves to paint in bold colors with strong value contrasts, making the painting really “pop” in the viewer’s eye. He feels fortunate to have taken workshops from some of the world’s most recognized watercolor artists for over 15 years, applying something from each to his own work. His interests and subject matter are very diverse: boats, street scenes, landscapes, animals, still life or people.
The goal of this workshop is to help the student gain a solid understanding of perspective and to learn to really “push” the darks.
Ian Cooke is a retired professional horticulturalist who spent his career managing large gardens and grounds in the UK. ‘Gardening on a grand scale at someone else’s expense!’
The goal of this workshop is to look at different approaches to floral painting, both loose and fluid as well as precise and semi-botanical.
