In this two-part California Vibe Watercolor Portraiture and Landscape™ workshop, David teaches the art of integrating energetic, gestural line work with energized hues of color (including the use of colored chalk markers). And like in past workshops, absolutely no drawing experience is necessary. Both beginner and more advanced artists can attend the workshop.
On November 12th and 13th, David will teach his world-renowned California Vibe Watercolor Portraiture™ Meandering Line method. It is a captivating fusion of abstract figurative representation. It utilizes a striking combination of watercolor, ink, and chalk marking embellishing that showcases a very loose and expressive style.
On November 14th and 15th, David teaches his California Vibe Watercolor Landscape™ On-The-Go Ink and Splash Sketching method. He first introduced his technique to the art world in a 2006 issue of American Artist Magazine, and has been teaching it around the country ever since. With a few inexpensive and highly portable art tools, you can sketch with ease around the house, around the town, or around the world! You will not only master this sketching style, but also critical compositional, color, and value strategies. And since your sketches will always start out with a pencil drawing, he will be adding the six universal skill sets of drawing into the workshop!
Internationally published and exhibiting fine artist David Lobenberg has over thirty-five years experience
teaching both college and private art classes. He has also established a reputation for conducting well
organized, energetic, hands-on watercolor and drawing workshops across the United States and Canada.
