Mark E. Mehaffey, Demonstrator,  January 12th Monthly Meeting

“Sushi” by Mark Mehaffey

Mark is a nationally recognized artist who is a member of the National Watercolor Society, the American Watercolor Society, as well as multiple other watercolor societies.  He has been awarded major awards in exhibitions throughout the nation.  Mark’s paintings are included in corporate, public and private collections across the country. Mark is a committed public school teacher, popular juror, work shop instructor and is listed in “Who’s Who Among Americas Teachers” and “Who’s Who in America”.

He states that over the 50 years of painting, “my interest in the act of painting has never waned. However, the content of my work and technical abilities are

constantly evolving. This state of change is something that all artists embrace. It is through challenge that growth occurs. To be timid, safe, complacent or overly satisfied does not push the boundaries of creativity” “Art is a communication – a dialogue between artist and viewer.”

You will want to come early for a good seat at this demonstration!
