Summer Challenge Winners

We had a wonderful display of paintings.  It is an interesting exercise to copy a master, and a fun one too!  Our judge was the brush lady, Judy Coyle, who was very impressed with the entries. Congratulations to everyone who entered the Summer Challenge at our October meeting.  Please let the Program Chairs know if you have a really good idea for next summer’s challenge!

Best Potential Forgery – Connie Collins with Renoir’s “Luncheon ….”

Most Original Interpretation – Nancy Frey with “Girl With the Pearl Earring”

Most Challenging Subject – Moira Johannessen with Monet’s “Bathing at La Grenouillere”

The above picture shows just a few of the MANY entries in this year’s Summer Challenge.. Congratulations on the great participation and terrific effort by an unprecedented number of our members!
